Well I coded a bit on Friday night and I managed to finish the first public beta of MP3DBr. The functionality is pretty limited but it works.
You can download the exe and db from here.
You will need to install the .NET libraries for it to work as I have not yet created an installer to do this.

Once again my host, UCVHost, lets my down. The site was down for most of the weekend. I guess you get what you pay for, but they still suck.

Well it’s Friday night and I plan at sitting at home coding. How’s that for an action packed evening. Hopefully I can release 1.0 Beta 1 tonight.

Well I put 2 pics up in the Photo Gallery. One is of my Astroboy figure and the other is of my Astroboy handphone accessory. I guess they are pretty much the same pose but oh well.
They still kick ass! Hehe.

Yeah I know that’s a lame title but whatever. I coded for about 90 more minutes tonight. I found out that I can use old VB controls in my C# application. That’s pretty damn cool but I feel like I have diminished the reliability of my app by using them.
Today I reworked the UI a bit and caught an important exception. I also correctly implemented a drive list box although I had to use the VB control to do it. I need to figure out how to only select folders from a FileDialog.

Wow, I’m becoming a geek again.
I should put up some pictures of my Astroboy stuff, I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to show off.

Well I actually accomplished something today. At lunch I looked over a little more C# code and decided that after work I would begin coding. So I cam home and made something to eat and I’ve been coding and stealing code since then. I’ve actually completed most of the basic functionality of the MP3DBr 1.0. However I have a lot in mind and I don’t know how to code nearly any of it yet. Maybe I should actually go and buy a C# book. I can probably pump 1.0 out by this weekend without too much difficulty. Maybe I’ll even set up an open source page somewhere.

Back to work…

Well its really not sunny but oh well.

I still haven’t got around to starting my C# programming but it should begin this week if I can ever get some energy.

I went to Insa-dong last night. That was pretty cool. I had almost given up on Korea for have antiques and cultural souvenirs. I think the coolest part of the trip was watching the guys make the King’s candy. They take a piece of honey and turn it into over 16000 strings and then fill it with various nuts. It was really cool and funny to watch. I put some pictures up of the candy and of the making of the candy. There are also a few pictures of the view over Insa-dong.

Well my vacation has finally begun. I’m so thankful I have these days off.
I went and got my hand phone hooked up with regular service now but I had to change my number so that sucks. Plus its an 8 digit number so thats even worse.
I think I’m gonna start reprogramming the MP3DB app in C# this week. Wish me luck.

Unimportant Update #err:

Well I once again reverted back to Win2K. Windows XP is nice but the performance and incredible stability of 2K kept on calling me. I also managed to install Visual Studio .NET finally. So I will probably start programming some C# soon. I’m still not sure whether I will be updating the site or working on my MP3DB application which has been on hold for some time now.
