Well Korea did it again! What an amazing game. I was lucky enough to be in Jungno when Korea beat Spain in a shootout after no goals were scored in 120 minutes of playing. After the game we took to the streets to join the celebrations with the other millions of people. No word of a lie I gave high fives to at least 3000 people between 6:30 and 11:00. I wouldn’t be surprised if I also hugged more than 100 other people. My hand was so swollen and dirty when I got home, it took me some time to get clean. I have posted 22 pictures from last night, there would be more however I had some problems with my camera and both of my SmartMedia cards filled up before they were actually full.
To see the the pictures that don’t do justice to the event, visit the Photo Archive.
I took a trip to EverLand this weekend. And then I got sick. Anyway I took a bunch of pictures while I was there. If you want to see them you can find them in the Photo Archive.
Archive sounds cooler than gallery.
I found a little MP3 of the “Dae han min guk” chant that you could hear for hours after Korea advanced the next round.
You can find it here (570KB).
Well Korea just beat Portugal is very close game with a score of 1-0. This is kind of sad for me because Portugal had 2 players red carded and they still had a hard time scoring on Portugal. It is also sad because this win allows the US to advance to the next round along with Korea. Portugal deserved to move onto the next round far more than the US did.
The sounds of Koreans chanting through streets can be heard through most of the country, at least in Seoul. All you have to do is open your window to hear thousands of people repeatedly yelling, “Dae han min guk!”
All this makes for an interesting night and adds a lot more meaning to rest of the world cup. I’ll definetly be out in the crowd on Tuesday for the game against Italy.
Well I watch Korea Vs. US at school today. It wasn’t nearly as much as watching it in the bar but it was okay I guess. In case you don’t know it was a 1-1 draw.
Right now I’m watching Portugal murder Poland. Which is not a good thing because Korea has to play them on the 14th and if they don’t win they probably won’t make it to the next round.
I’m scared.
Well I have uploaded quite a few new pictures, probably like 4 pages or so, I guess thats 40. Anyway a lot of them are from the bar during Korea’s first World Cup game. It was a lot of fun, not to mention a lot of drinking.
You can find the gallery here.
Oh, BTW programming has once again slowed down.
I just stuck my pinky finger into the fan by accident when I was moving it. That kind of hurts! My finger is bleeding right now so if I go missing chances are that I bled to death in my sleep.
Ha!
If you want to read something funny. I mean REALLY funny (if you know what funny is), then head over to bobanddavid.com and read The Letter From The Future.
Hurry up and do it before I make a joke about your Mom.
The world does not care how smart you are. The smart people are not rewarded for their achievements. It’s a shame, but once you realize that you can relax.
