I have a working beta of the picture gallery up. This is beta 6 and I will be working on beta 7 tomorrow I guess. You can see the new beta here.

I worked a bit on the picture gallery project on Saturday and I had planned on working on it some more on Sunday but then I got sick. I have a fever, a sore throat, and an achy sinus. Lovely hey? Well I slept most of sunday but I have to work today so I have to put on my game face. Maybe I’ll get a new release out next weekend, but then again I’m going to Busan I think. Hmm?

I have been coding some more on the new gallery script. I’m not sure what to call it now because “photo” is too specific. If you have any idea for a good name please msg me or email me. This will probably be the final beta before 1.0.

Well I’ve worked most of the afternoon on the photoalbum and the DB connectivity is working at about 90% I think. I’m probably about 75% of the way through the process so I might have to delay the release by a day or two. Now I’m on Beta 6, but really who cares, I’m the only one reading all of this.

Well spending a few hours looking at uncommented code and trying to merge OleDb code into it has left me braindead for the night. I will try some more tomorrow.

Well I people have commented that they really hate my PhotoAlbum navigation so I decided to sit down tonight and write some new code. I am currently working on Beta 5 which will add DB functionality in order to add titles and descriptions for the photos.

I hope to have a functional version by tomorrow.

Well I finally decided to release some of the code of what I have been working on. There isn’t much here, but I think it provides a great foundation for the rest of the service.

All of the code excutes fine for me without exception so I take no resposibilty for the fuctionality or performance outside of my test systems.

Note:
The user/password is admin/admin just in case your are too lazy to look at the .mdb.

Todo:
-Consume the service.
-Write the CreateUser() method.
-Write some code to count the number of comments per post.
-Write some stats gathering code.
-So many other things that I can’t think of right now.

Here is some dull, useless information if you are completely bored.

Well, I lucked out, I hope, on this month’s work schedule. At first I was going to be working from 7AM-10AM and 4PM-8PM but now I get 4PM-10PM only. So I might get lucky and be able to get some programming done. Actually I’ve already started writing a blog content control system in C# ASP.NET. I’m using it write now to post this blog so it should prove to be much more flexible than the current system is allowing the design and backend to be completly seperate.

Well I had a good halloween. Well kinda. I got really drunk somehow, possibly from the Gin And Tonic or maybe it was the incredibly strong Long Island Iced Tea. Anyway I was at a cool halloween party at a club for a couple of hours I guess. Then we went back to the bar we were at before the club. For some reason I decided to rant to this guy about how bad kids hogwans are and that he should be care of his “Japanese looking” boss. But that was because another person from the school was trying to play mind games with us about how we should quit and work for her school. Anyway I still made a fool of myself. I guess it was the loudmouth soup. Oh and then I also lost my digital camera somewhere along the path. It was fun, I just wish I couldn’t remember it.
