Perfect Example Of Great Planning

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

I hope someone got fired for that.

I Tried… :(

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

My wife woke up this morning and went for a walk around 5:30AM. When she came back at about 7AM she told me there was a bird, a crow, in the neighbour’s front yard that was behaving oddly. I went out and looked at it and saw that it was just laying on the grass. You could see it occasionally breathe or blink but it didn’t look very healthy. I started looking for some kind of agency I could report the problem to. The first number I found was animal control and when I called them they told me to call the SPCA and leave a message because they would still be closed. I did just that and I gave my neighbour’s address. I know that crows aren’t the nicest birds in the world but I thought that I should report it anyway in case the bird had a disease or something odd.

Unfortunately, when I got home today at 3PM the bird was still there and it was no longer alive…

Go Ahead, Call Me A Hater

“Victoria Beckham’s one-hour NBC special bombed in the ratings!

The Monday night airing of Coming To America barely garnered 4 million viewers, getting beat by a REPEAT of Wife Swap.” says PerezHilton.com, the world’s most reliable gossip site. :P

That is awesome!!! Victoria Beckham is nobody. She is a washed up singer with horribly fake breasts who only remains in the press because she is married to a guy that sounds a little more sissy than Mike Tyson and just happens to be a “great” footballer. Don’t get me wrong, Mike Tyson was one of the greatest boxers ever and David Beckham is/was a great player of football but why the hell should NBC expect good ratings for an interview with a nobody that no one in their right mind will ever care about?

The State Of Privacy In (Long Distance) Telephone Communications

Sunday, July 15th, 2007

I was just thinking today that most people probably do not realize how insecure many, if not most, of their telephone calls are. The reality is that calls, especially discount long distance calls can be recorded and listened in on in real-time. Unfortunately, I know this from experience as once developed tools for such purposes. The technology is freely available and commercial solutions are available also. I know that in Canada there are laws in place to discourage such behaviour but in the current market there are many providers that use VoIP primarily. VoIP is an amazing way to communicate in a very natural way over very cost effective, proven media. Another great aspect of VoIP is that you can do nearly anything you want with the data in real-time with a little effort.

So, next time you make a call on Shaw Digital Phone, Vonage, a cheap calling card service, or nearly any other discount phone service think about how you would feel if someone else was listening in on the call or saving it for later playback or analysis.

I Want Windows 3.1 Too!!!

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

I remember how crappy Windows 3.1 was… It’s why games were made for DOS, but this Japanese commercial for Windows 3.1 actually makes it look good… I guess.

Piracy Is NOT Hurting The Movie Industy

Sunday, July 8th, 2007

Just look at this, “Transformers Pummels Record” and you can see that piracy doesn’t hurt the industry so much when records like this seem to be broken every 1-3 years. And, the telesync has been out since Saturday but I’m sure they will announce on Monday morning that it broke the 5-day weekend record or something ridiculous like that. Too bad Michael Bay still sucks…

The Strikeout Game

Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

I’ve started listening to mixtapes more than real commercial releases because the mixtape game has got so much better than the actual releases. Here is something you would never learn hear unless you listen to mixtapes:

If the stream is too slow, download here.
